The Almirah Educational Scholarship is dedicated to supporting deserving girl students from low-income families in the UAE, helping them achieve their educational go.
Each selected student receives ₹100,000 (approximately AED 5,000) to cover educational expenses.
The scholarship primarily benefits girls whose mothers are expatriates working in the UAE, including housemaids, cleaners, and caretakers.
Applications are reviewed based on academic performance and financial need. In 2024, 25 students were selected from over 4,000 applications.
Scholarships are awarded during an annual event on International Women’s Day in Sharjah, celebrating the achievements of the recipients.
Criteria
1.
The scholarship is open only to students from Kerala
2.
Priority will be given to students studying in Higher Secondary and above, including Plus Two, Diploma, Degree, Post-Graduate, and Professional Courses.
3.
Selection is based on the parent’s/guardian’s current financial situation and the student’s academic performance.
4.
Students from all family backgrounds are eligible
5.
If there are multiple children in the family, only the child with the strongest academic record should apply.
6.
Applications may be submitted by the parent, guardian, or the student.
7.
All information submitted must be accurate and verifiable.Any false details will lead to disqualification.
